Public Exhibition Now Online

Many residents came along to the Evron Centre on Tuesday to view the proposals and we received a great deal of feedback. Your local knowledge and experience of past flooding is valuable to us in the current design phase of the scheme.

Feedback forms can be downloaded here or hard copies can be obtained from the Town Clerk at the offices of Filey Town Council. Instructions for return are on the form and the deadline for return is July 3rd 2015.

Topographic Survey To Take Place

Thanks to everyone’s co-operation and understanding we have been able to progress to Phase 2 of the detailed studies and surveys to inform on the final design solution for the flood defence scheme.

 One of the next tasks is to undertake a more detailed topography survey . The survey is non-intrusive and is literally a walkover to undertake a series of levels to plot the exact contours of the land in the areas indicated in yellow within this plan.

 The works will be undertaken by  Academy Geomatics week commencing 27 October 2014 and subject to the weather will take one week to complete.
